August 26, 2020 (Hanover, MD) – Penacity is pleased to announce we will be opening the Fall 2020 semester of CCBC’s Tech Club on September 17th.

Dr. Timothy Schilbach, Chief Hacker and CEO of Penacity and AboutWeb, will be deliver the opening keynote presentation highlighting the critical role that cybersecurity industry will play in securing tomorrow’s future as well as industry-wide and workplace challenges related to cybersecurity, computer science, information technology, and engineering.

Formerly known as Cyber Club, the CCBC Tech Club was launched in 2014 to bring employers and technology students together for periodic sessions to discuss industry trends and employment opportunities in the fields of cybersecurity, digital forensics, network technology, and computer science/information technology.

Since its inception, Penacity has been intimately connected with the Cybersecurity program at CCBC. Dr. Schilbach helped redesign the College’s Security Operations Center (SOC) and has served as a Subject Matter Expert and consultant on the content of their cyber program.

He has worked with CCBC faculty to help ensure that the cybersecurity program at CCBC equips students with the knowledge and skills needed to analyze security vulnerabilities, create a comprehensive incident-response plan to protect a network and its related resources from unauthorized intrusion, information damage, or theft.

“It gives me great honor to support the vital work being done at our local community colleges,” said Dr. Schilbach. “Penacity likes to partner with our local community colleges because they are doing so much to support the local populations that seek to gain the skills to enter into the field of cybersecurity.”
