June 30, 2020 (Baltimore, MD) – Penacity LLC and AboutWeb have been 3-D printing medical gear for the front line workers battling the COVID-19 pandemic since March.

Pictured above, MedStar Franklin Square Medical Center staff model and hold up our 3-D printed surgical mask tension release bands. Franklin Square was a designated COVID-19 surge hospital, and our hearts go out to the front line medical heroes who are putting their lives on the line every day to fight this pandemic.

Since this project began, Penacity and AboutWeb have donated thousands of 3-D printed tension release headbands to medical establishments, veterinary offices, dental offices, nonprofits supporting at-risk populations, and essential businesses in the Maryland area. The bands connect the strings at the back of the mask to relieve stress and reduce blistering behind the ears, on the head, and on the face from long term mask wearing.

Are you interested in receiving a donation of our tension release headbands? Please contact Penacity Communications Manager Dawn Stone at dstone@penacity.us for inquiries.
