April 17, 2020 (Hanover, MD) – In light of recent events with the COVID-19 pandemic, Penacity and AboutWeb will be 3-D printing and donating surgical mask tension release bands, shield bands, and plastic face shields to help protect healthcare workers and first responders as they bravely fight against this deadly virus.

A small piece of plastic can make a big difference to healthcare workers on the front line by helping to remove pressure to the skin from the masks. The plastic face shields and shield bands also provide an added layer of barrier protection to healthcare workers.

“In a time of such unprecedented events, it’s imperative that we support one another,” said Dr. Timothy Schilbach, CEO of Penacity and AboutWeb. “Protecting our front line healthcare workers is not just a matter of supporting the common good, it is a matter of national security.”

If you are interested in receiving a donation of these items, or are interested in donating to our cause, please contact Dawn Stone, Communications Manager for Penacity, at
