Friday, February 21, 2020 (Catonsville, MD) – AboutWeb recently presented to cybersecurity students at the Community College of Baltimore County (CCBC)’s Tech Club.
Pictured above is AboutWeb Sr. Director of Marketing, Angela Young (top row, second from Left), CCBC Cybersecurity Institute Program Coordinator Vinitha Nithianandam (bottom row, on left), and students in attendance for the presentation at the Catonsville campus (the presentation was also shared via video with the CCBC-Essex campus).
AboutWeb’s presentation provided an overview of the professional life of an IT contractor, working with small businesses, resume tips, and best practices for acquiring the most relevant certifications for pursuing a career in the cybersecurity industry. We also did a deep dive into an active AboutWeb job requirement, and discussed what to expect during the application process.
“Supporting students in the IT industry has always been a passion of mine,” said AboutWeb CEO Robert Epstein. “AboutWeb is pleased to support the great work being done at the CCBC’s Cybersecurity Institute.”
Cybercrime is one of the the most urgent threats to US government and industry, and the Cybersecurity Institute at CCBC is working hard to create a labor force of cybersecurity professionals to handle the ever increasing threats.
