9/25/19 (Baltimore, MD) – AboutWeb CEO Robert G. Epstein attended the Baltimore SCORE Awards Program in downtown Baltimore yesterday with Maryland Lt. Governor Boyd K. Rutherford.
Powered by the SBA, Baltimore SCORE provides free and confidential business mentoring for small businesses in the Greater Baltimore area. The program is designed to equip local business leaders and entrepreneurs with the tools they need to succeed and thrive, thereby driving economic opportunity.
“I think that SCORE is fantastic organization and I think having successful entrepreneurs volunteer as mentors to small emerging businesses is a fantastic approach to help further job creation and innovation in this highly competitive business environment,” said Epstein.
AboutWeb shares the values of the SCORE program and gives back to the community through its AboutWeb Cares Program by offering paid IT training opportunities to people from Opportunity Zones. AboutWeb won the 2019 Cybersecurity Diversity Trailblazer award from CAMI (Cybersecurity Associates of Maryland, Inc.) and also the 2018 Corporate Citizen of the Year award from the National HUBZone Contractors Council for our outstanding contributions in this field.
