December 10, 2018 (Baltimore, MD) – For the twentieth consecutive year, AboutWeb has continued its tradition of supporting local community charities with gifts of canned goods, supplies, and toiletries. Each year, each of the three AboutWeb offices (in Tysons, Gaithersburg, and Baltimore) selects a local charity to support, and the staff come together to purchase the much-needed items, then deliver them to the chosen charities.

This year’s AboutWeb charitable giving recipients include: Second Story (formerly Alternative House), a youth services shelter in Tysons, VA; Manna Food Center in Gaithersburg, MD; and Marian House, a holistic healing community for women and children who are in need of housing and support services, in Baltimore, MD.

“AboutWeb has always been a company with a social conscience,” said Robert Epstein, Co-Founder/President & CEO of AboutWeb. “It is embedded within the DNA of our organization to give back to and support the local communities where we work, and we have a twenty-year tradition of giving. I’m pleased to be able to continue the tradition this year and support these wonderful organizations that are doing such impactful, necessary work in our local communities.”

Founded in 1998, AboutWeb is an SBA-certified HUBZone company performing IT professional services for federal agencies, commercial entities, and associations. AboutWeb is also a social enterprise company, targeting economic empowerment zones to provide paid IT job experience and Microsoft and Google certification training for local communities. AboutWeb was the recipient of the 2018 “Corporate Citizen of the Year” award from the National HUBZone Council, is a 2018 NVTC “Tech 100” company, and also made the 2018 Greater Washington “i-LIST” for companies leading in innovation.
