2008 Robert Epstein, President & CEO of AboutWeb joins with other Technology Professionals in Maryland to repeal the “Tech Tax” approved by the General Assembly of Maryland and signed into law in 2007. In response to the passage of the “Tech Tax”, he worked with Technology Executives and other business groups to support the Maryland Computer Services Association, Maryland’s first statewide IT industry lobbying association. Along with supporting MCSA, he participated in lobbying and grassroots efforts that ultimately resulted in the unprecedented repeal of the tax before it took effect as law in March of 2008.
