MediaSlurp and the Adobe StackTuesday, April 12 2011 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm
MediaSlurp is a popular tool that delivers community-driven content to your desktop. The presentation gives an overview of how it was built by three people, in three weeks, leveraging the Adobe stack and community libraries: AIR, airORM, Flex, BlazeDS, ColdFusion 9 ORM, ColdSpring and Swiz. This presentation would give an overview of how the application works and an open QA about the tools, process and the MediaSlurp application.

Vicky Ryder
Vicky is a freelance developer who began her I.T. career as an MCSE certified network engineer, eventually working her way up to a managerial position. While serving in this role for a major financial publishing corporation’s Washington, D.C. office, Vicky taught herself ColdFusion and developed applications that improved workflow up to the corporate level. Her most notable application garnered a regional Advancement of Technology award. Since then, Vicky has broadened her knowledge of Social Media and now runs CodeBass, a team blog focused on music, sound, and the cross-promotion of Adobe technology platforms of which she is both a devoted user and fan.
