· The Web Portal Developer is responsible for designing, develop, troubleshooting, debuging, and implementing software code (such as HTML, CGI, and JavaScript) for the NIST CBS Portal and to all Chief Financial Officer web pages.
· The Web Portal Developer is to work with graphic designers and other members of the project team to develop the site concept, interface design, and architecture of the website.
· The developer would also be responsible for integrating the web applications with backend databases.
· 2 Years of development experience in Web based languages
· H.S. Diploma
BSD would like the candidate to have:
· Experience with Oracle Portal Knowledge/Functionality.
· Experience with web-based languages (JAVA, Java Script, HTML, JSP, XML, and XHTML).
· Experience integrating with content management technologies (Commonspot and Dreamweaver).
· Experience with version management (PVCS).
· Experience with Ticket Tracking System (NIST uses “Remedy”).
· Assist in training less experienced software development staff.
· Previous Government Experience – DOC; NIST, ITA, NOAA, CSC, etc.
· Experience with web-based languages (JAVA, Java Script, HTML, JSP, XML, and XHTML).
· Experience with PLSQL (NIST uses TOAD - used for development and administration of various relational databases).
· Experience using Web methods and AJAX implementation.
· Excellent communication - both oral and written required.
· Present ideas, suggestions and deliverables to senior level executives.
· Create high-level software design documentation and level of effort for functional requirements provided by the Government.
· Implementation, experience, and knowledge of the Portal design, best practices and patterns
· Ability to keep informed of technical trends and develop and incorporate them within assignments where appropriate.
· Knowledge of 508 compliance, cross site scripting and SQL injection
· Image editing skills
