Financial Information Systems Auditor located in Washington, D.C.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:office:office" />
Location is at the Navy Yard, DC.
Essential job functions include:
• Execute the day-to-day activities of IT controls assessment including assess general and application controls using the Federal Information Systems Controls Audit Manual (FISCAM) or ISACA Cobit methodology
• Provide best practices on how to efficiently and effectively audit the access controls and configuration management controls
• Evaluate the design and effectiveness of technology controls throughout the business cycle
• Identify and communicate IT audit findings to senior management and clients
• Help identify performance improvement opportunities for assigned clients
• Lead the development of the IT controls assessment plan and associated scoping
• Provide technical guidance on auditing different technologies, which could include Unix, Windows, Mainframes, as well as SAP
• Review all work papers
• Lead IT control finding discussions with team
Job Requirements:
Minimum Education/Experience: Bachelor's degree in Information Systems, Accounting, or a related discipline from an accredited college/university and at least five years of professional experience.
• CPA or a CISA a key plus
• Experience managing or assessing one or more of the following technologies: Windows, Unix, Mainframes, and/or SAP
• At least 5 years of applicable financial or business consulting experience
• Minimum of 4 years experience in IT auditing using FISCAM or COBIT
• Minimum of 2 years experience in auditing federal government agencies using FISCAM and/or NIST 800-53
Qualifications:
• Strong communication skills, technical knowledge, and the ability to write at a 'publication' quality level in order to communicate findings and recommendations to the client's senior management team
• Experience in identifying and developing audit procedures around ERP application controls a key plus
• Applicants selected will be subject to a government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information
